Ingredients

– 12 slider buns, split

– 4 cups cooked shredded chicken

– 1 cup BBQ sauce, plus extra if desired

– ΒΌ red onion, thinly sliced

– 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

– Β½ cup grated smoked gouda cheese

– 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro leaves, roughly chopped

– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

– Fresh ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

1-First, preheat the oven to 350˚F (175˚C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper lightly sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.

2-Place the bottoms of the slider buns in the baking dish.

3-In a small bowl, mix the shredded chicken with Β½ cup of BBQ sauce until fully coated, then spread this mixture evenly over the buns and drizzle with the remaining BBQ sauce.

4-Sprinkle mozzarella, red onion, smoked gouda, and 1 tablespoon of cilantro over the chicken, and add black pepper to taste.

5-Place the top halves of the buns on the sliders, cover with foil, and bake for 15 minutes.

6-While baking, melt the butter and stir in the remaining cilantro, then set aside. Remove the foil, brush the buns with the cilantro butter mixture, and bake uncovered for 10 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.

7-Serve immediately for the best results.
