Instructions

1-Mix 3 tablespoons flour, Β½ teaspoon garlic powder, Β½ teaspoon salt, and Β½ teaspoon black pepper. Coat 2 pounds of cubed beef in this mixture for a flavorful base.

2-Heat 3 tablespoons olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Brown the beef in batches, then set it aside to lock in that rich flavor.

3-In the same pot, cook 1 chopped onion until softened, about 3 minutes, adding more oil if needed for your beef stew recipe with tender meat.

4-Pour in 6 cups beef broth and Β½ cup red wine if using, scraping up the tasty bits from the bottom of the pot.
