Ingredients

Instructions

1-First, make the syrup by cooking blackberries with sugar and water until thickened, then strain to remove seeds and let it cool. This step adds that fresh fruit swirl everyone loves.

2-Next, preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease an 8ร—8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

3-Building the Layers: In a bowl, cream together unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy to form a smooth base. Beat in eggs one at a time, then fold in cocoa powder and all-purpose flour for a rich brownie texture. In another bowl, blend cream cheese until smooth, add sugar and an egg, then mix in vanilla extract, all-purpose flour, and salt for the cheesecake layer.

4-Gently fold fresh blackberries into the cheesecake mixture, taking care not to mash them. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spoon the cheesecake mixture over it evenly, and add the remaining brownie batter on top. For the perfect swirl, spoon the cooled blackberry syrup over the cheesecake layer and gently mix it in with a knife.

5-Bake in the center of the oven for 45 to 55 minutes until the cheesecake is puffed and set but still moist, with a toothpick showing moist crumbs from the brownie layer.
