🍰 This simple recipe offers a rich, velvety texture that’s easy to whip up and customize with flavors or colors.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: About 2 1/2 cups, enough for 12 to 14 cupcakes or a 9x13-inch cake

Ingredients

– 1 cup (230 grams) unsalted butter, softened

– 3 cups (360 grams) powdered sugar

– 2 to 3 tablespoons (30 to 45 ml) heavy cream or heavy whipping cream

– 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

– A tiny pinch of salt

Instructions

1-Softening butter: First, let the unsalted butter soften at room temperature for easier whipping, which takes around 30 minutes.

2-Beating butter: Then, use a mixer to beat the softened butter on medium speed until it’s creamy, about 2 minutes, as this sets the foundation.

3-Mixing in sugar: Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar while keeping the mixer on low speed to skip any mess, then shift to medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes until it’s well combined.

4-Adding cream and flavors: Pour in 2 tablespoons of heavy cream along with the vanilla extract and a tiny pinch of salt, mixing on medium speed until everything blends smoothly don’t forget to scrape the sides as needed. If the mix feels too thick, stir in the extra tablespoon of heavy cream for the perfect consistency. Once done, use it right away to frost your treats or store it for later, adapting as mentioned in the ingredients section for different preferences.
