Instructions
1-In a mixing bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter and caramel sauce. Cream them together until the butter is evenly mixed and chunky in the caramel.
2-Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat on medium-high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
3-If making salted caramel buttercream, mix in ยฝ to 1 teaspoon sea salt to taste.
4-Use the frosting right away to top your desserts, or refrigerate it if itโs too soft to firm up.
5-Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week or in the freezer for up to one month.
