๐Ÿ” Cheeseburger Lava Cake offers a fun and indulgent twist on classic burgers with a molten cheese center that delights every bite.
๐Ÿง€ This recipe balances juicy beef and creamy cheeses for a comforting and impressive dish that’s perfect for any occasion.

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 6 patties

Ingredients

– 450 grams ground beef, 80% lean

– 1 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1 teaspoon onion powder

– 1 teaspoon paprika

– salt to taste

– freshly ground black pepper to taste

– 100 grams shredded cheddar cheese

– 60 grams shredded mozzarella cheese

– 30 grams softened cream cheese

– 30 grams unsalted butter for searing

– optional BBQ sauce or ketchup glaze for serving

Instructions

1-Start: Start by combining the shredded cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, and softened cream cheese until smooth, then form into 2 to 3 tablespoon-sized balls and freeze for 15 to 20 minutes. This step ensures the cheese stays molten inside the patty.

2-Next: Next, mix the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and freshly ground black pepper gently to avoid overworking the meat.

3-Divide: Divide the beef mixture into six portions and flatten each into patties. Place a frozen cheese ball in the center of one patty, top with another, and seal the edges tightly.

4-Heat: Heat the unsalted butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat, then sear the patties for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.

5-Transfer: Transfer to the oven and bake at 190ยฐC for 10 to 12 minutes until cooked through, letting them rest for several minutes before slicing.

6-Optionally: Optionally, brush with BBQ sauce or ketchup glaze before serving.
