✨ This recipe combines simple ingredients to create dough ideal for cream puffs, éclairs, profiteroles, and more, delivering delicious homemade treats every time.

  • Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Yield: About 16 puffs

Ingredients

– 1/2 cup (8 tablespoons; 113 grams) Unsalted butter, cut into pieces

– 1/2 cup (120 milliliters) Water

– 1/2 cup (120 milliliters) Milk (2% or whole)

– 1/4 teaspoon Salt

– 2 teaspoons Granulated sugar

– 1 cup (125 grams) All-purpose flour

– 4 Large eggs, beaten

– 1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon milk or water Egg wash

Instructions

1-Gather and measure all ingredients accurately; prepare baking sheet with parchment paper.

2-In a saucepan, combine water and butter; bring to a boil over medium heat until butter melts completely.

3-Remove from heat; add flour all at once and stir vigorously until mixture forms a ball that pulls away from the pan.

4-Return to heat briefly to dry the dough slightly; then transfer to a mixing bowl to cool.

5-Incorporate eggs one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition to ensure proper emulsification.

6-Pipe the dough onto prepared sheet in desired shapes; maintain spacing for expansion.

7-Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) for 10 minutes, then reduce to 180°C (350°F) and bake for another 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed.

8-Cool completely on a wire rack before filling or serving. For dietary adaptations, use appropriate flour substitutes and egg alternatives from the ingredients section.
