πŸ§€ The creamy texture of the cheese blended with vibrant cranberries and jalapeno peppers delivers a flavorful crowd-pleaser that’s easy to prepare ahead of time.

  • Total Time: 5 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

– 12 ounces fresh cranberries

– 4-5 green onions, chopped

– ΒΌ cup chopped fresh cilantro

– 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely diced

– 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)

– Β½ teaspoon ground cumin

– 2 tablespoons fresh lemon or lime juice

– ΒΌ teaspoon salt

– 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened

– Crackers for serving

Instructions

1-Pulse 12 ounces of fresh cranberries in a food processor or blender until they’re coarsely chopped; this step brings out that fresh tartness without turning everything to mush.

2-Add 4-5 chopped green onions, ΒΌ cup chopped fresh cilantro, 1 seeded and finely diced jalapeno pepper, 1 cup sugar, Β½ teaspoon ground cumin, 2 tablespoons fresh lemon or lime juice, and ΒΌ teaspoon salt, then pulse again until everything mixes well and gets finely chopped.

3-Transfer the cranberry mixture to a covered container and refrigerate it for at least 4 hours or overnight this is where the magic happens and the flavors really blend.

4-Before serving, spread the softened 2 packages (8 ounces each) of cream cheese evenly on a serving plate or in a 9-inch pie dish for that smooth base.

5-Top the cream cheese with your chilled cranberry-jalapeno mixture, making sure to pour off any excess liquid first to keep things from getting soggy.

6-Refrigerate the assembled dip for up to one hour to let it set, then serve it with crackers for the ultimate dip experience.
