Ingredients

– 1 English cucumber

– ยฝ pound (about 227 grams) medium pasta such as penne or rotini

– ยฝ sweet onion

– ยฝ cup sour cream for the dressing

– ยฝ cup mayonnaise for the dressing

– 1 teaspoon granulated sugar for the dressing

– ยฝ teaspoon salt for the dressing

– 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill for the dressing

– 2 tablespoons white vinegar for the dressing

– Black pepper to taste for the dressing

Instructions

1-In a small bowl, combine ยฝ cup sour cream, ยฝ cup mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon granulated sugar, ยฝ teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill, 2 tablespoons white vinegar, and black pepper to taste; mix well to create the dressing.

2-Thinly slice the ยฝ sweet onion and soak it in cold water for a few minutes if you want to reduce its sharpness.

3-Cook ยฝ pound of medium pasta, such as penne or rotini, according to package instructions until al dente, then rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.

4-Cut the 1 English cucumber in half lengthwise, scoop out the seeds with a spoon, and slice it thinly.

5-In a large bowl, toss the cooked pasta, sliced cucumber, drained onion, and the prepared dressing together; let the salad sit for at least 40 minutes to blend the flavors.
