Instructions
1-First, mix 1 pound of lean ground beef with 1 large egg, 1/4 cup fine breadcrumbs, 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt in a large bowl until well combined.
2-Next, cut 3 mozzarella cheese sticks or 3 ounces of mozzarella into 18 small cubes.
3-Form 18 meatballs by taking about 1 1/2 tablespoons of the beef mixture, flattening it slightly, placing a cheese cube in the center, and wrapping the beef around it to seal.
4-Unroll 1 tube of 8-ounce crescent roll dough, pinch the seams together, and cut into six strips about 1 1/4 inches wide.
5-Thread the dough strips and meatballs alternately onto 7-8 inch skewers in an S shape, leaving about 1 inch of the skewer tip exposed and spacing the meatballs slightly apart.
6-Preheat your air fryer to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and cook the skewers for 8 to 10 minutes until they are browned and the dough is golden and puffed.
7-Prepare the garlic herb butter by combining 1/4 cup melted butter, 1 teaspoon parsley flakes, and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, then brush it over the cooked skewers.
8-Sprinkle with 1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese if desired, and serve with 1/2 cup warm pizza sauce for dipping.
