  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 twists

Ingredients

– 1 sheet of thawed puff pastry

– 1 cup of finely chopped fresh spinach

– 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

– 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

– 1 beaten egg

– 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder

– salt to taste

Instructions

1-Preheat and Prep: Heat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lightly flour your work surface.

2-Roll Out Pastry: Thaw the puff pastry and roll it out to smooth and slightly enlarge it. Keeping it cold ensures flakiness.

4-Spread and Fold: Spread the mixture evenly over half the pastry. Fold the other half over, press gently to seal edges well.

5-Cut and Twist: Cut into 1-inch strips. Twist each several times and place spaced apart on the baking sheet.

6-Egg Wash and Bake: Brush with beaten egg. Bake 15 to 20 minutes until puffed, golden, and crisp.

7-Cool and Serve: Let cool 3 to 4 minutes. Serve immediately for optimal crispness.
