๐Ÿ‘ Experience a refreshingly sweet and fruity summer drink with this Perfect Peach Iced Tea recipe that balances natural peach flavor with robust black tea.
โ„๏ธ This easy-to-make beverage is perfect for cooling off on hot days or serving at gatherings, offering delightful flavor and refreshing hydration.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: About 10 servings

Ingredients

– 1 cup cane sugar

– 1 cup water

– 2 ripe peaches (thinly sliced, plus additional slices for serving)

– 2-3 tablespoons loose leaf black tea (or 3-4 tea bags, depending on desired strength)

– 8 cups filtered water

Instructions

1-Bring 1 cup cane sugar, 1 cup water, and 2 thinly sliced ripe peaches to a boil in a small saucepan.

2-Reduce the heat and crush the peaches with a wooden spoon to release their flavor, then let it simmer until the sugar dissolves fully.

3-Cover the saucepan, remove from heat, and let it steep for 25 to 30 minutes to develop a rich syrup.

4-While the syrup steeps, brew the black tea by steeping 2-3 tablespoons of loose leaves or 3-4 tea bags in 8 cups of filtered water for 4-5 minutes.

5-Strain the brewed tea and chill it in the refrigerator; strain the simple syrup through a fine mesh strainer, reserving peach pieces for garnish if desired.

6-Serve the tea over ice, add fresh peach slices, and mix in the simple syrup to your taste for the ideal sweetness.
