🍽️ Try this recipe for a flavorful and easy-to-make dish combining roast beef, peppers, onions, and melty provolone cheese wrapped in flaky crescent dough.

  • Total Time: 37 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

Two 8-ounce packages crescent roll dough (unrolled and separated)

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Half a white onion diced small

Half a green pepper diced small

Half a pound thinly sliced deli roast beef

8 ounces provolone cheese

Instructions

1-First off, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to avoid any sticking drama. This step sets the stage for that golden, flaky finish.

2-Next, melt the 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat it’s the secret to those soft, flavorful veggies.

3-Now, sautΓ© the half a white onion diced small and half a green pepper diced small in that butter until they’re soft, which takes about 5 to 7 minutes. Once that’s done, form a ring with the two 8-ounce packages of crescent roll dough on your prepared baking sheet. Layer on the half a pound of thinly sliced deli roast beef, followed by your sautΓ©ed onions and peppers for that classic taste.

4-Top it all with the 8 ounces of provolone cheese to get that melty goodness. Then, fold the dough over the cheese and tuck it toward the inside of the ring to seal everything in. Pop it in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until it’s golden brown. Finally, use a pizza cutter to slice it into portions and serve it warm your family will be impressed!
