๐Ÿฝ๏ธ This easy-to-make recipe creates a restaurant-quality meal ideal for satisfying weeknight dinners.

  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

4 pork chops (6 ounces each, 1 inch thick) for a juicy and tender main protein

Less than 1/4 teaspoon salt per pork chop to season and enhance flavors

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour for the spice rub

1 teaspoon chili powder for mild heat and depth

1 teaspoon garlic powder for a savory, aromatic boost

1 teaspoon onion powder for subtle sweetness and flavor layers

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika to impart smoky taste

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper to add a gentle kick

1 tablespoon avocado or vegetable oil for searing

1 cup low-sodium chicken stock for the pan sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar to brighten the sauce

2 teaspoons honey or brown sugar to sweeten the sauce

1 tablespoon butter for a rich, silky finish

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley as optional garnish

Instructions

1-Gather all ingredients and pat the pork chops dry, then season with the salt and let them rest for 30 minutes.

2-Mix the spice rub and apply it evenly to the pork chops for full flavor coverage.

3-Heat the oil in the skillet and sear the chops on each side for that perfect golden crust.

4-Lower the heat, cover, and finish cooking until they reach the right temperature.

5-Transfer the chops to a plate, cover loosely with foil, and let them rest for 5 minutes.

6-For the pan sauce, simmer 1 cup low-sodium chicken stock, 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar, and 2 teaspoons honey or brown sugar in the skillet. Scrape up the browned bits as it reduces by half, then stir in 1 tablespoon butter. Finally, pour the sauce over the chops or toss sliced ones in it, and garnish with 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley if you like.
