Instructions
1- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2- In a bowl, whisk together the 2 ยฝ cups all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and ยฝ teaspoon salt.
3- Heat a 12-inch oven-safe skillet (preferably cast iron) over low heat for 5 minutes. Add the ยฝ cup unsalted butter and let it melt completely.
4- Stir in the 1 cup granulated sugar and 1 cup brown sugar with a wooden spoon. Turn off the heat or remove the skillet from the burner.
5- Whisk the 1 whole egg and 2 large egg yolks in a separate bowl, then add immediately to the skillet sugar mixture. Stir quickly with a spoon to prevent the eggs from cooking. Mix in the 3 teaspoons vanilla extract.
6- Stir in the dry ingredients until just combined; the mixture will be thick.
7- Stir in the 10 ounces chocolate chips.
8- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until mostly set in the center.
9- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with flaked salt.
10- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
