Instructions

1-First, prepare the dough by combining 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a bowl. Cut in 1 cup cold unsalted butter until the mixture looks like coarse crumbs, then add 1/4 cup cold water plus 2 tablespoons gradually until it forms a ball. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to keep it flaky.

2-While the dough rests, mix up the filling. In another bowl, stir together 2 cups chopped strawberries, 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon cornstarch until everything is well coated.
